Welcome to Three Choirs Vineyards, Hampshire!

Three Choirs Vineyards originated in Gloucestershire in 1973, when local wine retailer Alan McKechnie planted the first vines and started harvesting on his small fruit farm. After nurturing it for 11 years, Alan eventually sold the vineyard to new owner John Oldacre who grew the vineyard to 75 acres and changed the name from Fairfield Fruit Farms to Three Choirs Vineyards due largely to John’s connections to the Three Choirs Festival, (England’s oldest choral festival).

In 2014, Three Choirs Vineyard expanded the name and became proud owners of a new vineyard in Hampshire, previously known as Wickham Vineyard.
The vineyard’s first focus was to be a working vineyard; with opening a shop, restaurant and holding daily wine tasting tours for the public. However over the 5 years, the vineyard had seen an increase in the number of people looking for a unique and special venue to hold their wedding day or private celebration with a difference…so Three Choirs was just the place!

Slowly the vineyard had developed it’s inside and outside spaces to cater for these special occasions and in late 2017 the vineyard was proud to be a fully exclusive wedding & event venue with over 40 couples a year choosing the vineyard to take their vows and many friends and families coming together to celebrate milestone moments.

The vines are still very important to the Hampshire vineyard however due to the high demand of private events, the grapes that are grown in Hampshire are now transported back to the Gloucester vineyard to start the wine making process. The restaurant that was on site has now transformed into a beautiful indoor ceremony room to give couples another option to take their vows at the vineyard and to hold weddings all year round with fantastic views. The Old Winery which once stored the wine barrels & wine making equipment has been renovated to a beautiful function room and is a combination of both rustic and modern, giving couples the barn like feel yet in a unique setting like no other in Hampshire. The Old Winery can hold up to 85 for a sit down meal and 150 for a wedding reception/private party, as well as outdoor space to enjoy until the sun goes down with spectacular views of the vineyard. An additional two outdoor spaces have been licensed to hold civil ceremonies, partnerships and blessings including a rustic gazebo amongst the vines.

Three Choirs has built up an expert team of professional and friendly staff who have a passion in running and coordinating weddings and events. Their priorities are making these special times a perfect day and a wonderful memory for all to look back on. In 2017, Three Choirs teamed up with Wild Gastro Catering as soul caterers of the vineyard, proudly providing exceptional food for all weddings and events that take place.
